Baby Boomers, Millennials and Insurance Fraud

Baby Boomers, Millennials and Insurance Fraud

Baby Boomers are the largest aging generation in US history. As they approach retirement in a world where people are living longer, healthier lives, many worry about outliving their money. This generation is likely to own property and homes, giving them the means and opportunity to place fraudulent insurance claims.

Millennials are less affluent and have entered adulthood in a recession, driving some to resort to insurance fraud for different reasons than their parents. Many of them rely on start-up insurers who focus on app-based insurance policies and quick claim payouts. This generation is tech-savvy and motivated by a consumerist culture to commit insurance fraud using the technology they know so well.

Join Christina Fiscella, insurance fraud investigator, trainer and speaker, as she discusses cases and methods for conducting insurance fraud investigations involving these two age demographics.

The webinar will cover:

  • sociological and economic reasons for the rise in Boomer and Millennial fraudsters
  • considerations for conducting claim investigations with involving these two generations
  • interview strategies for Boomers and Millennials
  • real-life insurance fraud cases and what we can learn from them
